Our laboratory is looking for colleagues who are interested in Gerontological and Home Healthcare Nursing. Why do not we study together?

Point 1

Rethinking Gerontological and Home Healthcare Nursing
(Home care nursing, Facility nursing, Discharge support)

In home nursing, it is essential to humbly accept the values, life history, and life of the community dweller and his or her family, and maintain their dignity.

Point 2

Re-assess Older Adults in the perspective of Ageing and Frailty

With the aging of population, nursing research is being conducted on mental and physical deterioration as a frail (including dementia).

Point 3

Reconsider the Importance of Nursing Care to Promote Sleep

Sleep is an integral part of life for all. Community dwellers, family caregivers, nurses, and the sleep of all people are targets.

Point 4

Exploring Gerontological and Home Healthcare Nursing internationally

Declining birthrate and aging are urgent issues to be addressed internationally. Our laboratory aims to create a new knowledge by reviewing nursing from the international perspective and collaborating with researchers around the world. We have started an international collaboration with the University of East Anglia in UK (https://www.uea.ac.uk/).

Alumni’s Voice

For my graduation research, I did literature review about “Trends in research on the relationship between sarcopenia and frail and sleep.” At the beginning of the study, I had no idea how to select the literature to study or how to analyze it. However, the lecturer carefully taught me. Also, I read the literature that I felt difficult to analyze, with the lecturer. I was able to proceed with my research while listening to various opinions that I did not notice on my own, and I was able to enjoy research.
